Baby Clothes Home Display

By Ron Maier Jr. To add a touch of heritage to a childs room, why not display some of their own baby clothing. These little memories of made of cloth look great on a display hanging rack made for a tabletop or dresser. As the child grows older they will love to use their own clothes for their dolls to play dress up. To make your own display rack, these are the things you will need: 2 porch spindles scrap wood hanging rod (for a closet; a wooden dowel will also serve) screws drill with screw bit scrap fabric spray adhesive 2 rosettes (used for closet bars) wood glue 2 decorative knobs paint (color is your choice; you can also use a wood stain if the wood is nude) Take the porch spindles that you might have purchased at Home Depot or somewhere similar and paint them whatever color you wish, keeping in mind the colors of your childs room or furniture. Then, cut two pieces of wood for the base of the rack and the top. The size depends on the size of rack you wish to build. To hold three or for garments, the base should probably be about 18×8 inches. Set aside the top piece for now. Fasten the spindles to the base using screws through the bottom of the base. To make sure that the base will not scratch your furniture, attach a piece of fabric to the bottom with adhesive. Sit the rack upright and screw on the rosettes. Now place the bar on the rosettes as you wood in a normal closet. Take the top piece of wood and fasten it to the spindles with screws. Lastly, you can glue the knobs on top of the rack as decoration. Of course you can be creative and pick any decorative items you wish. Now you have made a fun new display rack for your childrens clothes. Place your kids clothes on the rod using baby clothes hangers, and the project is complete (wooden hangers may be the most decorative). Perhaps you will keep it in their room or perhaps you want it for your own. It quite possibly will become a family relic that will go on for generations. Love and Acceptance is the Best Discipline for Teenagers

By Claudia Apfelthaler Being a mother is quite an adventure I dare say. Its a challenge too. No body on this earth has made me discover the emotions within me like my twin teenage daughters. I have gone from feeling such tender and exquisite love to hostility. I remember the discipline with which I was raised. It wasnt overly strict but my dad did give me hidings when I refused to listen or give him back chat. It didnt stop me from keeping my mouth shut, in fact it just made me angrier that kids were treated like inferiors, like they didnt know anything. How often did I hear, Im a lot older than you and you have no experience. Two twin girls aged 13 going on to 25 is well, to say the least daunting at times. I have to get into real self discipline so I dont succumb to their level to get my point over in an argument. Oh my, what a reflection of myself when my kid, stands there with hand on hip lecturing me about which washing powder to use to get a stain out of her white blouse. She says things like, Mama you really should watch more TV so you can see whats going on in the world. I never watch TV. But I do watch myself and I do watch my girls and its amazing how much of myself I recognise in them. I always know what part of my thinking and personality needs fine tuning just by watching them. That hand on hip thing, is from me. That disapproving tone of voice also comes from me. What is even more frightening is when I realise I am being like my mother! The other day I caught a glimpse of myself in the bath room mirror whilst nagging my kids to hang up their towels and clean up after a shower. How many times have I made silent vows to myself to not nag? I remember what it was like having a nagging mother. It did not help, not one bit. In fact the more she nagged the more I didnt care about wet towels on the floor. I remember exactly those moments when I was thirteen and my mom just seemed to be the perfect square. I recall thinking to myself I will never be like that. And what do you know? There is me in all my mothers glory. Ive noticed what works really well is to give compliments. Even if your child is standing in front of you rolling eyeballs and looking totally bored say something like, Hey I forgot how lovable you are when you do that. I mean remember when they did all those things when they were 2. You thought it was cute then. Now just because the child has grown and speaks for it self you think its cheeky. When my twin girls were born I couldnt wait for them to begin talking. I was so excited to find out what was going through their heads. I remember the first time they saw a naked man they named his private parts a swing bum! And they used to call me Mamela because my best friends name was Pamela. And the names for my parents were so apt. They called my Dad Big Papi and my mom Baby Mami Papi. I have no idea where they got that from, but it was very cute and heart wrenching. Kids are so wonderful and uninhibited. To experience more joy just give them more love even if youre itching to say something mean. I know its not so easy to adore them every moment of the day, especially when they come home from school with friends you dont really approve of. The best way to deal with this is to love the friend and treat it like your own. I treat all the kids that come here like my own. Ive seen everything from the good mannered to the absolute uncouth. I know that even the uncouth got some of that from home and cant help it. And some of them well you know, its cool to be that way. Im always glad that my children feel so comfortable in their home that they have no qualms about introducing square me to the coolest of the coolest. That way Im always in the big picture. I get to see whos who in the zoo, and that is priceless knowledge for any mother with teenage kids trying out their own way. Claudia Apfelthaler loves life. Experience The Joy Of Eating At A Restaurant

By Sintilia Miecevole Restaurants offering a variety of cuisines are dotted all over the United States. They provide not just lip-smacking food but a great ambience too. Most restaurants also pride hemselves on their standards of cleanliness. You can choose to sit in comfort and enjoy a leisurely meal at a host of estaurants or order a take-away meal that you can eat at your convenience elsewhere. One great advantage of eating at a restaurant is that you get to try a range of international cuisines, ranging from the Eastern to the Mediterranean. You could enjoy the fine meat preparations offered by Arabic restaurants or choose the exotic Filipino dishes like Sisig, Lechon Kawali and Laing offered by Filipino restaurants. Not to mention the Indian restaurants serving their mouth watering dals and curries and the much loved authentic Chinese restaurants which are a favorite with many people. For an indulgent evening, you could opt for a five course meal at an Italian restaurant. The first course is the antipasti or appetizers like garlic bread followed by pastas or soups as a second course or primi. The main dish or secondi usually comprises fish or meat platters, which are served along with side dishes or controni. The last course of this extravagant meal is the dolce or the dessert. But eating out is not just about the food. The ambience of a restaurant is just as important. Most restaurants take great care of their decor, design and lighting to ensure a relaxing environment. A lot of restaurants liven up their interiors with vibrant colors and interesting posters, paintings or motifs. Some restaurants bring to their decor a touch of the culture of their country, so that your meal is a complete international experience. Music is another part of the ambience. While some restaurants stream lounge music which you can enjoy with your food, others have live bands playing. Depending on your mood, tastes and time at hand, you can choose which restaurant to visit. Many restaurants offer power lunches for busy executives. If you have time, you could enjoy a lazy meal with some entertainment or choose a restaurant suited for a romantic evening out. Restaurants also offer a range of refreshing drinks, tropical delights and choicest wines. For those of you with a sweet tooth, there are a range of fine desserts, fresh fruit ice creams and goodies offered by most restaurants to pamper you. Painless Hair Removal

By Richard Romando Pain is a major limiting factor that prevents many persons from adopting hair removal treatments. Pain becomes a huge problem especially for hair removal from extra sensitive areas such as under arms and the bikini line. Some traditional painless hair removal methods include shavers and depilatory creams. Shaving is the most popular painless hair removal system. The procedure is very easy and comparatively inexpensive. Although shaving is most effective for male hair removal, there are also some devices and creams specially produced for females. The greatest disadvantage is you will have to shave every other day, which can cause darkening of skin. Depilatory creams are another inexpensive do-it-yourself option for painless hair removal. These creams contain some highly alkaline chemicals that dissolve the protein structure of the hair. This denatured hair can be washed off easily. But they only provide short-term hair removals. Radio-frequency with intense pulsed light (IPL) is a new painless hair removal method. This treatment is totally painless when you apply a 15% anesthetic cream 20 minutes before the treatment. This treatment is quick, and it covers more area than laser method. It guarantees that hair will not grow back. Radio-frequency with IPL should be carried out only by trained professionals, mostly in salons and clinics. This technique is also very expensive. A new permanent painless hair removal technique is the use of special enzymes with depilation creams. These enzymes can inhibit the development of new hair cells. Thus hair growth will gradually reduce and finally stop. Yet another method is also there in which chemicals are used to inhibit the activities of hair forming enzymes such as ornithine decarboxylase. But both these therapies are highly expensive, unaffordable for common man. There are also some oral hair removal pills available, but they are not much effective. Modern permanent hair removal techniques such as electrolysis and laser hair removals are becoming more and more painless. There are many anesthetic topical creams available, which can reduce pain at the time of these treatments. Hair Removal provides detailed information on Hair Removal, Laser Hair Removal, Permanent Hair Removal, Hair Removal Products and more. Hair Removal is affiliated with Laser Hair Removal Costs. Avoid the “Take-Home-Box” Overload

By Meloney Hall After youve had the RNY surgery, there is one thing you immediately begin to notice.. and thats what I call the Take-Home Box Overload. This is what happens inside your refrigerator as a result of you brining home all of those take-home boxes from restaurants because you cannot finish the meal. Even prior to surgery, you couldnt often finish the meal when some restaurants serve such large portions. So packing up the leftovers after an eat-out meal seems natural to you, so you do it often. PROBLEM ONE: The Take-Home Boxes can actually establish huge neighborhoods inside your fridge! PROBLEM TWO: You feel you MUST NOT throw all of that food out because you have been taught from the early days of your crib that you SHALL NOT WASTE FOOD because of all the starving children elsewhere who certainly would appreciate the food you are wasting, right? Frankly, when you heard that guilt-phrase that was supposed to motivate you to gobble up, didnt you feel even MORE compelled NOT to finish eating and MAIL your uneaten portion to those starving children? I never really understood that philosophy of telling me I better eat because some poor children dont have enough to eat. A puzzlement. PROBLEM THREE: Because of the guilt, you decide that youll just snack on the food in the take-home boxes. So you snack, snack again, snack some more, and HOORAY youve eaten everything in the box and you didnt waste the food! OH, but youve done yourself a BAD turn! Bad turn? How? Lets consider that the food in that take-home box could contain 1500 to 2000 calories. So what? Well, when you eat those leftovers, you are consuming those ADDITIONAL 1500 to 2000 calories that you DONT need in your eating routine especially if you eat them as SNACKS and not meals. It is a DANGEROUS thing to leave those take-home boxes in the fridge when they scream at you to be consumed. Dont listen to them! Heres what you need to do instead: If you truly plan on eating the leftovers as another meal portion, then you should wrap them according and place them in your FREEZER for eating LATER. You know that adage, out of sight, out of mind? well, this is that basic concept. By doing this regularly, youll be able to rotate your frozen meal portions for a better variety rather than eating the leftovers time after time. How appealing is it to eat six servings of chili in a row? Its not so freeze the portions and eat them later. The FREEZER is your solution to curb the snacking out of those take-home boxes. So use it as your new best friend, you new best meal-planner buddy, and your calorie-saver! Getting use to the idea of tossing out food is a hard one, but its something you have to get used to as well. The dog or cat will always be there to volunteer to eat what you cant, and the animals will show you a deeper devotion that ever imaginable! And your household loved ones often appreciate you giving them an open invitation to anything they find in the take-home boxes. Get a grip on this early so you wont sabotage yourself with those additional calories that will creep up on you if you fall pray to snacking or through guilt-eating. As an RNY patient, you are only to consume a minimal amount of calories anyway.. so dont fall into the trap of eating more than you need. This could be a factor as to why you seem to not be losing enough weight or why you are gaining some back after awhile. Bottom Line: Take-Home Boxes can be Dangerous Tame them before they do you harm! Meloney Hall successfully lost 170 pounds in 19 months after a gastric bypass bariatric weight-loss surgery. Into the Serenity of Arya Tea Estate

By Benoy Thapa It has always been an exciting moment for me when a particular tea garden visit is on the calendar. From the hustle and bustle of a busy township and far far away from the madding crowd, I have always found the tea gardens spread its wings, engulfing me with a delight of happiness, energy, clean air and above all absolute silence which is pierced only by the chirping birds. Its a tremendous feeling. Today, I am posting about my visit to one of such tea gardens Arya Tea Estate. Last year as I was having a private meeting with a business partner (at his house), both of us were served tea manufactured at Arya Tea Estate. Upon enquiry, I was told that it was Arya Ruby A special tea made from AB-2 clone bushes (AB-2 is a particular type of clonal bush; there are other varieties of clonal bushes as well; AB-2 is one of the best) and purely bio-organic. I liked the tea very much and instantly made up my mind to procure this tea when the time was right. Now it was time I put on my boots and walk towards fulfillment of my resolution to procure Arya Ruby. My friend Chandan and I jumped on to the seats and drove towards Arya. Ruby is no doubt a very good tea, but the road to Arya is really bad. It was a downhill drive and so steep that a four-wheel drive could also fail while returning back if the driver was not experienced to traverse such steepness. Our driver gave up the idea of driving downhill and we didnt want to take the risk. Guess what happened next? Both of us started hiking down the hill and as we were walking, we could feel the tremendous gravitational force acting upon us. We lowered our pace fearing that we would tumble down. Guess what will happen to this road during the monsoons when most of the roads become slippery. After a while, the hustle and bustle of a busy township was left behind and a complete silence blanketed the entire environment. We could see Darjeeling town hanging in the sky, and seemed as if it was resting on beautiful patches of white clouds. It was a tremendous feeling to walk in-between the tea bushes; touch them, smell them and even rest on them . The only thing we could hear is the birds sing and yes of course tea pluckers gossiping while they were busy engaged in picking the tea leaves with their tender hands. Yes, only the women folk are allowed for tea plucking during the peak first flush season because it is believed that tender hands do tender plucking. We could also see that some parts of the garden were getting new tea bushes and laborers could be seen working. Sir, where are you from? Do you like the garden?, a shout came from above the hill. It was a fellow tea garden worker who had noticed us taking a rest after a perspiring walk. Some shouting from below and above the hill occurred in order to communicate he was quite at a distance and normal conversation volume could be unheard. We too had to shout. Surprisingly other tea estates were visible from Arya. On the left we could see Orange Valley Tea Estate and further on to the next hill, Risheehat could be seen resting in serenity. Oh! a breathtaking view which only an eye which perceived it can describe it better. After an hour, we reached the factory where Mr. S. Roy, Manager, Arya Tea Estate, was expecting us. He welcomed us and we were offered some tea it was not Ruby, but plain FTGFOP1. Now the real play of porcelain came into play Ruby was prepared. The normal tea tasting procedure followed it was just the tea I wanted and my dream to procure Ruby was fulfilled. Apart from Ruby, we tasted other teas like Arya White Tea. A marvellous white tea with almost transparent liquor perfumed with veggie notes, but very expensive. After tasting and payment paper work was done, we went around the factory and sat for a while chatting with the manager. He informed us that none of the Arya products go to the auctions and all of their products are sold in private. This means that Arya Ruby is not available in abundance and is only with selected people like us . He further added that Ruby is produced on a very limited basis and was hard to fulfill the demand. Guess we are lucky to get it during the peak First Flush tea season. As you know that we had gone hiking, it was not possible to get the teas on our back and hike back. The manager promised to deliver the goods at our place the following day. They have their own experienced drivers, but all of them need to do the four-wheel drive. We left the factory and went to Gaudan uncles house. Mr. Gaudan Gurung is a close family friend of Chandan who lives in the tea garden area. He is not a tea labourer, but a renowned personality in the Arya area who has been burdened with the welfare of the tea laborers. We were offered lunch prepared with vegetables grown in their own neighbourhood 100% organic. Ah! it was a real delight. We were lucky for we didnt have to hike back uphill, Gaudan uncle was going to town on his vehicle. We hopped on to it and started on the uphill task which made my heart shriek. Guess, Mr. Gaudans son who was driving, was an experienced driver and reached us in One Piece. Author: Benoy Thapa is a Tea Lover from Darjeeling, India. Beware of These Skincare Ingredients

By Deidra Garcia Consumers assume that that all skin care products are beneficial to the skin, especially if the products are costly. Unfortunately, this assumption is not necessarily true. Many skincare products not only fall short of their advertised promises, but can also damage your skin. Their ingredients may clog pores, irritate, dehydrate and stress your skin. While irritation is not always visible, it compromises your skin’s healthy appearance and its resilience. It prevents new cell growth and reduces the skin’s ability to heal. Here is a concise list of what you should avoid in skin care products. Think of these ingredients as the equivalent of cholesterol, saturated fat or ephedra in your diet. As a general rule, you should avoid any product that tingles, stings, itches or burns. Alcohol: We have all heard many times that alcohol is bad for the skin. Unfortunately, it is still used extensively in skin care products. It contributes to dehydration, kills live cells, and alters the skin’s delicate biological balance. Fragrance and coloring: Dermatologists strongly recommend avoiding products with added fragrance or dyes. These additives fail to provide any benefit other than to enhance the product’s appearance. However, when absorbed by the skin, fragrances and dyes cause irritation and may produce allergic reactions. Botanicals: Not all natural ingredients are beneficial. Some commonly used plant extracts, such as menthol, peppermint and citrus oils, are powerful substances that are better kept away from your skin. Bar soap: It is formed by waxy binders and harsh alkaline salts. These ingredients can clog your skin and leave behind harsh chemical residues that dull it or damage it. Liquid cleansers without soap additives are a better alternative. Fatty acids and vegetable oils: Some fats commonly used as moisturizers form an oily barrier that clogs pores, traps bacteria and prevents the natural shedding of dead cells. Oil-free or light moisturizers are best for all skin types. Deidra Garcia is a freelance writer and communications manager for MenScience Androceuticals, a men’s skincare and grooming company. Drive-Through Wedding Chapels In Las Vegas

By Peter Emerson Las Vegas is officially called “the entertainment capital of the world.” Along with this title, it is also designated with a secondary title of being “the wedding capital of the world,” which is more apt than the former. The reason being, Las Vegas has over 100,000 couples getting married every year. Not surprising then that it has a considerable number of wedding chapels too. The most unique wedding chapels in Las Vegas are the drive through wedding chapels sometimes also known as gazebos. “Drive through” is a term that is mainly used in relation to restaurants and fast food joints, which serve customers who pull up in their vehicles. This drive through business goes very well with wedding chapels in Las Vegas. Drive through wedding chapels in Las Vegas have expert wedding planners who are capable of providing the best services and quality materials in no time. Some of these wedding chapels are situated in the heart of Las Vegas. These wedding chapels take care of all the arrangements, right from a minister or other official to perform the ceremony, florists, bakers, photographers to musicians and DJs as well as videographers, helping to make the wedding easy and tension-free. Las Vegas wedding chapels are also known for their interesting wedding themes. These wedding chapels have both the traditional and classic kind of weddings along with a wide range of Vegas style weddings whose themes are extremely imaginative. Elvis-themed wedding ceremonies are famous worldwide. Drive through wedding chapels in Las Vegas look very elegant when decorated with silk roses and vines. These chapels are mostly made of wrought iron, which gives them an altogether different and attractive look. Being drive through wedding chapels, these chapels add the beauty of the outdoors to the wedding ceremonies making the wedding day truly the most memorable day to cherish. Who Are The People That Romance or Dating Scams Are Targeted At?

By Alan Prince Incidences of romance or dating scams have been on the rise since it came to public knowledge not too long ago.Yet,many people in the Western world are yet to grasp the reality of the fact that this scam seems to be on the increase.Perhaps, because most of the people who lose money to these scams do not talk about their losses. Many people prefer to bear the financial losses in silence, rather than disclose to any other party. On the other hand, in Nigeria and other places where the scammers operate from, large amounts of dollars are being received on a daily basis from the scams. In the third week of March, for instance, a 20 year old young man, just seeking admission into the university, scammed 5000 British Pounds from a middle aged woman in the United Kingdom. He is not the only one collecting such amounts from dating or romance scams.Daily,in thousands of cafes all over Nigeria, especially the SouthWest, and other West African countries, tens of thousands of young people are actively working at the scams, looking for such victims. But then, the question arises –whom do the scammers target for their activities? Do they just pick on anyone anywhere, or do they have a particular set of people that they focus on to defraud them of their money? From what I could gather in my research, here are the main types of people that the scams are focused on : 1. Elderly people and other lonely groups: Elderly women and men looking for companionship are believed to be especially vulnerable to the scams. They are believed to be soft at heart, and willing to part with their money in return for romantic affection and attention. Other lonely groups of people are also a prime target. Their loneliness makes them to be in need of some form of company, which may not be readily available around them in their immediate environment and which the scammers readily provide. 2.Separated women, recently divorced women and the like are easy targets of the scammers. The trauma of their divorce or separation makes them vulnerable to online scams. The scammers hunt on various dating sites for women like these. 3.Overweight people:these set of people are about the easiest to target and to scam, according to the scammers. It appears some overweight people need someone to admire them and to love them the way they are. And it also appears that a number of them are insecure emotionally. And it appears that as a result of this, some overweight women seem to do anything to hold on to a man, even if they do not know if he is for real. It appears that it is their sense of insecurity and their need for acceptance that is often exploited to get money of them. 4.People Looking For Sex: Many adult websites are a special target of the scammers. The scammers show nude pictures of themselves and engage in sexual acts with the persons they meet on the site. Usually, the people scammed through adult sites never disclose that they were scammed or they keep their losses to themselves. All those interviewed and who lost money to scams through this means declined to give figures of how much they were scammed of People living with AIDS, and differently-abled people are also a target of the scams. This is by no means an exhaustive list of those being targetted by the scams. These happen to be the most popular ones that the scammers target. The best way to deal with the dating or romance scams is to know how the scammers operate and be wise as to their ways. Educating yourself about these scams helps you to know how to prevent it from happening to you. Alan Prince is an expert on the subject of romance and dating scams. He literally spent hundreds of hours interacting with both the scammers and their victims in the course of this research. His findings are available for you to read at http://www.elovedeceptions.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Alan_Prince http://EzineArticles.com/?Who-Are-The-People-That-Romance-or-Dating-Scams-Are-Targeted-At?&id=172431 credit score translation small business startup loan bad credit david ramsey debt consolidation refinance mortgage with poor credit

How To Attract And Lure People through your Marketing Message

By Craig Dawber Marketing is all about attracting and luring people to your product and services by any which way. The idea is to get noticed, irrespective of the means used. How many times has it happened with you that unknowingly you have been attracted to some advertisement simply because it was so compelling that you could not avoid it? This is not just the case with advertisements. In fact, this curiosity is there in every sphere of our life. We as humans are always interested in anything out of ordinary. For example, you would have noticed many times that people out of curiosity, have crowded around an accident scene wanting to know what has happened. Fascination with Newness This is all because people have a fascination for new things. It is this pursuit of new, which guides everyone. You can observe this from your daily routine. Everyday you switch on the news to find out whats the latest development in the world. It is for the same reason that you read the daily newspaper. When you meet your friends and colleagues one of the first questions that you ask them generally is Whats new? You are interested in knowing what has been happening lately in their lives. You are not interested in hearing about things that you already know. The same rule also applies in the field of marketing and advertisements. A marketing message should compel people to sit up and take notice of the product and service. The message should be so strong that whether the people want to or not they should be forced to read it. If by chance, your marketing is not able to do this then you certainly need to think about bringing a change to the message. You have to analyse and see for yourself what it is that your marketing lacks. What have you overlooked? Why are people not taking the trouble to go through your advertisement? Often the answer can be found in the fact that people are interested in new thoughts and ideas. They will go through your advertisement only if they find anything new in it. Nobody is interested in the same old story. It is up to you to find out new things to say about your product and service. If you are unable to do so then you can be sure that your marketing would become lifeless. A lifeless marketing is sure to give you equally lifeless sales. Generate Freshness in your Marketing Message However, finding something new and saying it in the right compelling way is not an easy task. Most people are of the opinion that they dont have anything new to say about their product. After all, it is the same old product. Agreed this is so but what one has to do is revamp the old product and sell it afresh to the people. Something like, an old wine in a new bottle. It may not be a simple task but it is certainly not impossible. What one needs to do is to figure out the areas in which one can generate freshness about the product. This freshness could be generated in any sphere such as pricing, packaging, production process etc. Perhaps the product is being made in collaboration with some other company then this too can become part of the marketing. It is after all a new feature of the product. However, if at times one is totally at sea and cannot find anything at all new to say about the product then one can perhaps try to look at it from the point of view of the customer. Look at the product from his viewpoint and try to find areas, which may attract him. One should come up with something so exciting about it that the excitement should pass on to the customers, making them excited too. Once one has figured out what to say then say it such panache that the audiences are compelled to listen. Try your best Think of the marketing message, be it in the form of a print, television, web, email advertisement, as a TV programme that the audiences are watching. Then see, whether it is compelling enough for them to continue watching it or will they switch over to some other channel. This will allow you to rate the marketing yourself and try harder to get that magical message. Remember, try, try, try again and you will get it. Try a little harder and you will be surprised at the number of messages that you can come up. Compare them and see whether they have the ability to hold the audiences or not. If yes fine, if no then get down to, work once again. Dont forget it is the marketing which will make your product or service sell like hot cakes.
